Scope of Calibration of Gas Analyzers
Gas analyzer calibration is performed by Calibration Laboratory AP 002, including calibration of flue gas analyzers and gas mixture analyzers. Individual measurement channels of an analyzer intended to determine the concentration of specific gas components may also be calibrated.
We calibrate instruments measuring, among others, CO, CO₂, O₂, NO, NO₂, SO₂, and CH₄. Measurements are performed within the scope of accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA), and for selected quantities also outside the scope of accreditation.
What Types of Gas Analyzers Do We Calibrate?
We perform calibration for, among others:
- flue gas analyzers,
- gas mixture analyzers,
- single-component and multi-component analyzers,
- devices equipped with measurement channels for gas components covered by the measurement range of our laboratory.
The possibility of performing calibration depends primarily on the component being measured, the measuring range of the device, and the method used to supply the calibration gas to the analyzer.
What Does the Customer Receive?
Upon completion of the service, we issue a calibration certificate containing the measurement results together with the stated measurement uncertainties. At the customer’s request, we can also determine a linear regression based on the results obtained.
If the device does not present any technical problems, calibration is usually completed within 3 days.
Gas Analyzer or Gas Meter?
The terminology used by equipment manufacturers does not always clearly indicate the type of device. The same device may be referred to as an analyzer, meter, or gas monitor.
If you are unsure which category your device belongs to, see the article: Gas Meter or Gas Analyzer – What Is the Difference?
How to Order Calibration?
Detailed instructions and contact information for laboratory staff can be found in the Laboratory / For Customers menu [link].

Activities not covered by accreditation
For selected gas components or measurement ranges, we can also perform calibration outside the scope of accreditation. The possibility of providing such a service is assessed individually based on the type of device, the gas being measured, and the measurement range.
